Simple elegance in it's design. No rubber or plastic. Coffee is the best, like you'd expect from a French press, except you can't break it. It is so well engineered and finished that it's a pleasure to use it every day.

I had a glass press that made me nervous to take camping. I was always worried it would break while packed or from thermal shock after sitting out in 20 degrees then filled with near boiling water. I would carefully warm it up near the propane stove before filling it. I decided it was time to get a steel one and began my research. Meanwhile my girlfriend is a nurse and had a long term patient who's husband came in every day and made her coffee using a coffee press. She told me "you should see this press they use, it's very sexy." After reading reviews of all I could find I decided on this one and showed the picture to her... "yeah that's the one!" she exclaimed.

I have been using it for about six months every day and it works perfectly. No grinds get past the screen, super easy to clean by just spinning the rod part way out of the filter assembly to rinse it (grinds get caught between mesh and steel support for the mesh) or toss the whole thing in the dishwasher. The double wall keeps the coffee hot if I get distracted and don't get back to it for 10 or 15 minutes after I poured the water in. She said I could keep it on the counter all the time because it looks so sexy... LOL. I still protect it with a towel when packed for camping because I don't want to scratch the surface.

This french press is a work of art. I first used it at a restaurant, got the name from them, and ordered it the next day. I used it at work today, and the coffee it makes is as delicious as the pot is beautiful. I am very happy with it.
